New Delhi, September 21, ANI: Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Sunday announced that New Delhi will host the Bharat International Rice Conference (BIRC) 2025 at Bharat Mandapam on October 30 and 31, calling agriculture the “soul of Indian civilization.”
In a video message, Goyal said, “Agriculture has always been the soul of our civilisation, with rice as the pride of our farmers. The BIRC 2025 — the world’s largest rice event — will bring together farmers, global buyers, exporters, policymakers, and stakeholders under one roof. This will be a symbol of India’s rice diversity, quality standards, and will further strengthen business-to-business linkages.”
The event is being organized by the Indian Rice Exporters Federation (IREF) in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce, and is expected to be the most significant global platform for the rice sector to date.
