S.K. Chaudhary, Deputy Director General (Natural Resource Management) of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) on Thursday praised the efforts of Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University (RPCAU) in Pusa, Samastipur district, for successfully promoting digital agriculture in Bihar.
Chaudhary was the Chief Guest at the 17th Biennial Workshop on Agrometeorology, organized by RPCAU. The workshop focused on the study and application of meteorology in agriculture and farming practices.
During his address, Chaudhary urged state scientists to develop district-specific strategies for managing weather-related risks in agriculture.
RPCAU Vice Chancellor, P.S. Pandey, who inaugurated the three-day workshop emphasized the importance of research on the adverse effects of climate change on crop production. He called on scientists to devise strategies to mitigate these impacts.
