Grundfos Pumps India Ltd, an arm of Denmark-based Grundfos, is looking to double its revenues to ₹1,000 crore over the next four years. It’s revenue in 2017 was ₹500 crore.

In an interaction with newspersons here on Monday, it’s Managing Director NK Ranganath said the company had registered ‘good’ growth for the last two years. This will continue during 2018 and 2019 as well, he said.

Apart from industrial and building segments, Grundfos will look into segments such as agriculture and solar energy related areas.

Grundfos is also in talks with Government of Telangana and is exploring opportunities for collaboration, Ranganath said.

It’s already working with 13 States in different areas. In addition, ramping up of it’s points of sales, distribution network across the country (which are about 200 now) and expanding its service offerings will also be done.

“I think all these drivers will take us to ₹1,000-crore turnover as per Indian GAAP,” he said.

Grundfos Pumps India is ‘active’ in research and has been designated centre of excellence in communications in pumps or in remote management of pumps. It has designed a customised solar powered pump called Smart Solarz for use mainly in villages where eletricity is not available which is being “successfully” piloted.

Grundfos Pumps India began operations in India in 1998 and has three production facilities.

Globally, Grundfos produces 17 million pump units annually with presence in 56 countries and 19, 280 employees.
