Over 3500 organic farmers, scientists and traders from 110 countries will be participating and sharing their experiences in 19th Organic World Congress 2017 that is going to be held at Greater Noida’s Expo Centre from 9-11 November 2017. The Organic World Congress 2017 is being jointly organized by IFOAM (International Federation of Organic Farming Movements) and OFI (Organic Farming Association of India).
Speaking to media, OFI’s Director Claude Alvares told, “The aim of Organic World Congress is to move from making India organic to make world organic”.
“Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh will inaugurate the event”, he added.
An exhibition of indigenous varieties of organic seeds and organic farming methods and practices has also been organized. The three day event will also be unique in a way that everyone would be served organic food only and in clay utensils and leaf plates.
There is no entry fee for the exhibition.
Organic World Congress is organized after every three years. Last time it was organized at Istanbul in 2014.
