New Delhi, Jan 9 (ANN): The Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) has announced a three-day Pusa Krishi Vigyan Mela, scheduled to take place from February 24 to 26 at its campus in New Delhi.
With the theme “Advanced Agriculture – Developed India,” the annual event is expected to attract over one lakh participants, including farmers, entrepreneurs, and state officials from across the country, IARI stated in a press release.
The fair will feature live demonstrations of advanced farming techniques such as protected cultivation of flowers and vegetables, potted farming, and vertical farming. Additionally, free soil and water testing services will be available, along with the sale of high-yielding seeds and plants.
Agricultural companies, government and non-government organizations, progressive farmers, and entrepreneurs will set up stalls showcasing innovative practices and products.
As part of the event, IARI will present the ‘Innovators and Fellows Award’ to selected farmers. Applications for the award are currently being accepted, and farmers are encouraged to apply at the earliest.
