Haryana Govt identified 17 villages for Rurban mission

Under the Syama Prasad Mookerji Rurban Mission, 17 villages of Rewari district have been selected. An official spokesman said that the villages were Kosli, Nahad, Gugod, Nateda Gudyani, Surehali, Nehrugarh, Bhakli, Sahdatnagar, Jhaal, Juddi, Chavva, Kanhadwas, Jakhal, Mundadha, Malaysiawas and Shaadhipur. He said that six districts of the state had been selected under the mission, which included Nahad block of Rewari district. He said that under the programme, Rs 9.14 crore would be spent in the first phase. He said that the mission would work on agriculture, literacy, mobile health unit, skill development, water distribution, animal husbandry, LPG connection, e-gram connectivity, link roads and others.

The Rurban Mission follows the vision of “Development of a cluster of villages that preserve and nurture the essence of rural community life with focus on equity and inclusiveness without compromising with the facilities perceived to be essentially urban in nature, thus creating a cluster of “Rurban Villages”
