Centre wants states to allow contract farming but no assurance or guarantee of price to Farmers, benefits doubtful for consumers too.

Centre wants states to allow ‪#‎contractfarming‬ so that ‪#‎farmers‬ can directly sell produce to ‘end users’. Question remains on the definition of end users – does it mean a daily need consumer or again a middlemen or retailer or corporate. Will a daily need consumer ( who purchase a kg of brinjal, a kg of fruit) go to farmer for contract farming? Will the govt fix a price of purchase from farmer? How will the daily needs consumer be benefited if end user turns out to be middlemen? Will this contract farming model be the same as ‪#‎India‬ is doing in ‪#‎Mosambique‬ , where India has assured of purchase at the price of India ?
