20 Dec 2024, Bhagalpur, ANN: Bihar Agricultural University (BAU) has introduced an innovative program, ‘Kisan Samvad’, to encourage school and college students to explore education and careers in agriculture. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between academic institutions and the agricultural industry while strengthening connections with the rural economy.
Highlighting the significance of the program, BAU Vice-Chancellor Prof. D. R. Singh stated, “The Kisan Samvad scheme aims to enrich students’ knowledge, provide hands-on exposure to agricultural science, and motivate them to pursue professional courses in agricultural sciences and related fields at colleges and universities.”
Prof. Singh urged students to consider courses like Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Agriculture, equating their potential to other professional career paths such as engineering and medicine.
With this initiative, BAU seeks to rejuvenate interest in the farming sector and equip students with the skills and knowledge needed for its advancement. This marks a significant step in fostering a new generation of agricultural professionals and strengthening the agricultural economy.
